JenzVet is a veterinary research company, established in 2015, focused on developing and commercializing a range of products for companion and production animals. We work closely with research and licensing partners to ensure that products that improve outcomes are brought to the market in the most efficient manner.

We are currently conducting  studies in aquaculture:

• In collaboration with the University of The Philippines. This research is to use natural products to improve growth rates as well as improving immunity, particularly against Vibrio sp. bacteria and White Spot virus.
• Phase I and II studies have been completed and have demonstrated survival rates in the treated groups >90%, whilst the control group had 100% mortality within three days.
• Immune markers – phenol oxidase activity, haemocyte count, respiratory burst activity – all showed significantly increased activity in the treated group compared with the control group.
• An on-farm trial has recently been completed in the Philippines. The results demonstrated a 60% improvement in survival in the treated ponds compared with the non-treated ponds, and a 30% improvement in FCR in the treated ponds compared with the non-treated ponds. This result is likely lead to a significant economic improvement for the Asian shrimp industry.

Our emphasis is on naturally derived products that will allow cost-effective and superior methods of enhancement of immunity and to help animals better cope with high stress situations.
